Convention Detroit Fan Fare
Convention Website http://detroitfanfare.com/
Start Date 10/30/2010
End Date 10/31/2010
About This Convention: Detroit has a very strong connection with comic conventions and fandom. Some of the earliest fandom magazines came out of the Detroit area in the late 1960’s and the Detroit Triple Fan Fair was the first convention of its kind. The “triple” stood for movies, comics, and science fiction. Detroit Fanfare is both proud and excited to bring back home some of the major participants that helped to grow the comic industry into the behemoth it is today. There will panels and discussions where the people who started so much will have a chance to discuss the early days, and reflect on their memories of the great stars that attended the convention. They will provide rare pictures and original drawings of some of the masters of the medium.
There will also be a Zombie Walk – “Pre-Show” the Morning of October 30th , and a Blood 4 Comics – October 30th & 31st for the American Red Cross Detroit Chapter plus many other exciting events for the Comic Book lover in you.
